Emanuele Coccia is a philosopher, writer, and associate professor at EHESS in Paris. In parallel to his academic work, Coccia has collaborated with artists and designers, such as Formafantasma, Viviane Sassen, and Alessandro Michele.
His new research deals with fashion and garments as liberal art objects, and sees fashion as one of the most interesting disciplines in the contemporary world. Coccia’s work interlaces philosophy and fashion, presenting us with fresh perspectives on how to look at fashion, the construction of our identities, and the unexpected bridges between virtual and real.
